This patient present to me with no teeth and no dentures. He was fed up of having a soft diet and being unable to smile.
For the upper arch the patient decided on a bar retained removable implant bridge.
For the lower arch, the method of retention were locator abutments.
The minimal coverage upper denture fits onto the bar using metal clips inside the denture keeping it firmly in place during function and allowing it to be removed easily for cleaning.
The lower denture fits over the locator abutments not too dissimilar to poppers on clothing. Click it on, and pop it off.
The final result! The patient is now able to eat, talk and smile.
